Lets Talk about your roof. Did you know, some of the worst damage your RV can take, can happen with out you even knowing?
Around each piece of mounted equipment, skylight, or vent there is a chance for water intrusion! There's even a chance at the very front cap and the rear wall! Once water gets in, it turns into a bad day. Water marks on your ceiling, bad odor, mold, and major loss of value to your RV.
So, what can you do to make sure you're keeping your RV water tight? Inspect, inspect, inspect!
No matter where you are, you should be getting on top of your RV at least every 6 months to check how your sealant, and roof are doing! Under typical conditions your roof will need to be "re-sealed" once a year, due to the solvent in the sealant evaporating over time, but there are plenty of variables that can cause that timeline to move up. High elevation/harsh UV exposure, tree branch strikes, and even hail can cause leakage in your roof! So if you want to keep your rig in tip top shape, you should inspect your roof at the beginning and at the end of each trip, or you can call me for a reseal and I'll come to you, so you can keep enjoying your vacation!
I hope you got some valuable information from this article, and always remember, being proactive in your RV maintenance will always pay off, call or text to book your roof inspection and reseal today, at (406) 219-8488!
